Hillsong Colour Twenty-18

The twenty-18 COLOUR EXPERIENCE heads into the future with these convictions in mind. Proverbs Thirty-One paints the image of a striking and influential woman, and likens her to the trading ships of ancient days that would sail to faraway places and bring back divine supplies. For me the metaphor speaks of an enriched and awakened life in Christ… a life that brings wisdom and goodness into the everyday rooms of our everyday life.

May the season before us be full of divine and personal surprises. We are living in remarkable and yet challenging days, and the need for peace, answers and solution is greater than ever. Being found with the wind and breath of God’s Spirit in our sails is prophetic, and I believe deeply that impartation and grace, strategic to the future awaiting us, is in this gathering.

Our guests and speakers are fabulous – BOB GOFF, CHARLOTTE GAMBILL, PRISCILLA SHIRER, SHEILA WALSH, JEREMY AND JESSICA COURTNEY (Preemptive Love Coalition), plus our own Hillsong worship, creative and teaching teams will bring their distinctive finest to the table. I’m also excited that LAURA TOGGS and JULIA A’BELL will be with me in Kiev.

So visit the online experience for details of where and how it all fits together. You’ll also find a bunch of links, documentaries, stories and info to help you share with others.

We love you heart and soul, and look forward to being together with you in 2018!
Love always, Bobbie.

May 18, celebrating its 150th Anniversary, The National Ballet of Ukraine proudly announces one of its majestic spectacles – “The Sleeping Beauty” on stage of the Orpheum Theatre within its first-time American tour. The singular piece is a renowned world classic adapted by Ukrainian troupe in a unique style combining classic techniques with original dancing methods including signature lightness and grace of movements that create the impression of the dancers hardly touching the floor en pointe as if floating over the stage. This technique is the rightful heir of the old tradition Russian ballet. The ballet features elaborate choreography complemented by vivid costumes and scenery, Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, and a cast of fabulous characters.

Staged in 1938 for the first time at The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre the current version was updated in 1990 by choreographer Viktor Lytvynov. It is one of the most elegant productions presented by the troupe, requiring 42 artists on stage.

The fairy-ballet acted out by The National Ballet of Ukraine has a structure of two acts with a prologue and an apotheosis with total running time of 2 hours 55 minutes and presented with one interval.

Music: Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky.

Libretto: Marius Petipa, I. A. Vsevolozhsky, after stories by Charles Perrault and others.

Choreography: Marius Petipa, elements by Fedir Lopukhov, Yurii Hryhorovych.

May 19, The National Ballet of Ukraine will present the famously jovial “Don Quixote” starring a special guest – Teatro alla Scala soloist Leonid Sarafanov on stage of the Orpheum Theatre. An outstanding classical ballet piece is conspicuous for the dazzling choreography, unsurpassed sets, and vivid costumes. A most admired dancing performance of the 20th century staged by the Company presents a remarkable example of the classical Russian ballet techniques mingled with the contemporary interpretation of dancing methods, so that the lightweight and precise performers’ movements appear as soaring over the stage.

Composed by Ludwig Minkus and originally choreographed by Marius Petipa, this ballet recreates a charming flare of seventeenth century Spain as imagined in the original novel by Miguel de Cervantes. is the unique performance to see since  The ballet will be staged as a part of the company’s 150th Anniversary tour in the USA.

Choreographer Viktor Lytvynov who had chosen the Bolshoi’s acknowledged staging as a benchmark elaborated the current version of the famous piece, presented now by the National Ballet.

This true feast of the dance is performed in two acts with running time of 2 hours.

Music: Ludwig Minkus.
